ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to present the consequences of the energy revolution for China’s energy security policy. In the 21st century, China became a key actor on the international energy market. It is an indispensable source of demand and financing for many countries dependent on the export of energy resources. China effectively uses the energy sector to strengthen its political and economic position in the international system. Paradoxically, in current market conditions, dependence on oil imports is China’s potential advantage.
