Formal requirements - structure of texts

 
Articles (original articles, review essays, case studies)
  • Information about the Author: title or academic degree, first name and surname, affiliation (department, faculty, name of the university), ORCID number, correspondence address, e-mail address, phone number (for the Editorial Board’s information only).
  • Title of article no more than 60 characters including spaces – font type: Times New Roman, size 14, bold, centre aligned.
  • Length of article from 0.5 up to 1 publishing sheet (between 4,000 and 8,000 words; between 20,000 and 40,000 characters including spaces, making up to 22 pages of normalized text together with footnotes and references at the end of the text; font type: Times New Roman, size 12. [editorial requirements - Chicago Manual of Style].
  • Summary (abstract) written in the same language as the article, approximately 100-150 words; approximately 1000 characters.
  • Keywords: 5 – 7 words.
  • Introduction should include the aim of the article, research questions, research assumptions and/or hypotheses, research methods, reasons for choosing given topic.
  • Content with internal divisions: unnumbered subheadings/subtitles, font size 12, bold, centre aligned.
  • Summary/Conclusion: most important conclusions, recommendations.
  • References/bibliography: should include a list of sources placed at the end of the text [editorial requirements - Chicago Manual of Style].
  • English translations – regarding texts in Polish, the following elements should be translated into English and attached: title of article, keywords (5 – 7 words), a summary (abstract) (100 – 150 words; approximately 1000 characters);

Book Reviews (reviews of monographs or edited collections)
  • Information about the Author: title or academic degree, first name and surname, affiliation (department, faculty, name of the university), ORCID number, correspondence address, e-mail address, phone number (for Editorial Board’s information only).
  • Title of work reviewed should include full bibliographical description (author’s/editor’s first name and surname, title, publisher, place and year of the publication, number of pages, attachments); font type: Times New Roman, size 14, bold, centre aligned.
  • Length of review between 0.3 and 0.5 publishing sheet (between 3,000 and
    4,000 words; between 12,000 and 20,000 characters, including spaces; making up to 10 pages of normalized text together with references, footnotes and bibliography at the end of the text: font type: Times New Roman, size 12.
  • If the review covers several publications its title can be original, and its length might take up one publishing sheet (approx. 6,000 words).
  • Content of the review should include a critical assessment of the text, (evaluation of the originality of its contribution to the given field, assessment of the academic apparatus, sources and bibliography, cognitive and methodological qualities)
  • Before submitting a book review it is advised to contact the Editorial Board.
