The aim of the paper is to analyse the determinants of the agriculture negotiations
between the European Union and the United States conducted in relation to the
planned establishment of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. The
text focuses particularly on the role of the agricultural sector in the economies
of the European Union and the United States, the extent of protectionism in the
agricultural markets of the participants in TTIP negotiations and the main problems
in trade relations in this area of negotiations.
